Use this printable checklist to track your progress. Every checked item is a genuine step toward being interview-ready.

Core keyboarding

  • ☐ 10-Key speed of 8,000 KPH or higher.
  • ☐ 10-Key accuracy of 95% or higher.
  • ☐ Typing speed of 45 WPM or higher.
  • ☐ Typing accuracy of 97% or higher.
  • ☐ Comfortable typing without looking at the keys.

Software

  • ☐ Excel: sort, filter, SUMIF, XLOOKUP, pivot table basics.
  • ☐ Outlook or Gmail: sending, filtering, scheduling.
  • ☐ Adobe Acrobat: reading and searching scanned PDFs.
  • ☐ One production system (SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Epic, Salesforce).

Work habits

  • ☐ Can sit and focus for 45-minute blocks.
  • ☐ Uses a written daily list.
  • ☐ Owns a personal accuracy-check habit (double-key totals, source cross-check).
  • ☐ Comfortable asking a good question when unsure.

Recommended learning path

  1. 10-Key Trainer — daily until 10,000 KPH @ 98%.
  2. Typing Trainer — daily until 50 WPM @ 98%.
  3. Excel Beginner and Intermediate lessons.
  4. Office Skills — Outlook, business communication, filing.
