Last updated: August 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how 10KeyTrainer.com ("10KeyTrainer", "we", "us") handles information when you visit and use our website. By using the site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use 10KeyTrainer, information may include:

  • Basic technical information generated when you visit the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, referring page, pages viewed, and similar technical details.
  • Practice and learning activity, such as typing or 10-key performance, scores, accuracy, speed, progress and personal bests, where the site stores those records.
  • Leaderboard information you voluntarily submit, such as a nickname and a score.
  • Information you voluntarily send through the site's contact or support features.
  • Information stored locally in your browser, where 10KeyTrainer uses browser storage for preferences, progress, settings and similar functionality.

Public visitors are not required to create an account. All training tools, lessons, games and challenges are available without registering, and we do not ask public users for a name, password or profile. Accounts exist only for site administrators.

2. How we use information

  • Operate 10KeyTrainer and provide its training tools.
  • Calculate and display practice results.
  • Save progress or preferences where supported.
  • Operate leaderboards and challenges.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, secure and improve the website.
  • Understand general website usage.
  • Prevent spam, abuse, fraud and security problems.
  • Respond to support or contact requests.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations.

3. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies

10KeyTrainer and third-party services used by the site may use cookies, browser local storage, pixels, web beacons, IP addresses, device and browser information, and similar technologies where applicable. These technologies may be used to:

  • Remember preferences.
  • Store progress or settings on your device.
  • Maintain security.
  • Measure website usage where analytics is enabled.
  • Serve and measure advertising.

You can generally use your browser controls to block or delete cookies and to clear local storage. Doing so may remove progress, scores or preferences that were saved only on your device.

4. Google AdSense and advertising

10KeyTrainer is configured to use Google AdSense advertising, and may also use other advertising or sponsorship providers where an administrator has enabled them.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies may enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to 10KeyTrainer and/or other websites.
  • Google and advertising providers may collect or receive information through cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar technologies in connection with advertising.
  • Depending on your location and consent choices, advertising may be personalized or non-personalized.
  • You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.

You can also read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not control Google's independent data-processing practices.

5. Analytics

10KeyTrainer may use analytics or tag-management services when those services have been configured and enabled by an administrator, and also records basic internal pageview events (such as the page path, referring hostname and general device type) to understand site usage. Where analytics is active, providers may process information such as pages visited, usage patterns, browser and device information, referral information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and similar technical information. We do not claim this information is always anonymous or non-identifying.

6. Leaderboards and public submissions

Information you intentionally submit to public leaderboards, such as a nickname and a score, may be visible to other visitors. Please do not use your real name, email address or any other sensitive personal information as a leaderboard nickname.

The site offers automatically generated, family-friendly nicknames and applies profanity and abuse filtering to submitted nicknames, along with basic anti-spam checks. These measures reduce, but cannot completely eliminate, inappropriate or unwanted submissions.

7. How information may be shared

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of selling personal information. Information may be processed by service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the website, which may include:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Database, storage and backend service providers.
  • Analytics providers where enabled.
  • Advertising providers, including Google AdSense.
  • Security and anti-abuse measures used by the site.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, or legal rights.

8. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service, for legitimate operational purposes, security, dispute resolution, or to meet legal obligations. Information stored in your browser stays on your device until you clear your browser or site data, which you can do at any time.

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls on administrative features and restricted access to stored records. However, no website or online service can guarantee complete security, and we cannot promise that information will always remain secure.

10. Privacy rights and choices

Privacy rights vary depending on where you live. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, withdrawal of consent, or limits on certain uses or sharing of personal information. Not every right applies to every visitor. You can also manage advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings and any applicable consent or privacy controls shown to you.

11. Advertising and consent choices

Visitors in certain jurisdictions may be shown privacy or consent controls relating to cookies, advertising and personal data. Where applicable, 10KeyTrainer may rely on Google's privacy and messaging (consent management) tools or another configured consent solution to present these choices and record your preferences.

12. Children's privacy

10KeyTrainer is a general-audience educational and skills-training website. It is not specifically directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental consent or another legal basis is required and has not been obtained. If you are a parent or guardian and believe such information has been collected, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

13. Third-party links and services

10KeyTrainer may link to external websites, career resources, educational resources or other third-party services. We do not control those services, and their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as features, technology, advertising practices or legal obligations change. When we make material updates, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
