The timed gauntlet

Beat the Clock is the game to use when you want a fixed, comparable session. Pick a duration — 30 seconds through 10 minutes, or unlimited — and key as many values as you can before it expires. Because the length is fixed and the scoring is the same ten-for-correct, five-off-for-wrong as elsewhere, scores at the same difficulty and duration are directly comparable across sessions.

Using it as a benchmark

Run the same difficulty and the same duration once at the start of a practice block and once at the end of the week. That is a far more useful signal than a single high score, and it will show you whether recent practice is actually moving anything.

Sixty seconds is the standard length for comparison purposes, and it is short enough that you can hold full concentration for the whole run. Longer sessions mostly measure stamina.
